About

I'm a smart contract and full-stack dev who's looking to make my way into Web3 security, but I also can't ignore how fascinating Web2 cybersecurity is, especially AI-powered malware and hacking techniques. Trying to dive into both worlds.

My path into tech wasn’t exactly planned, but looking back, every step led me here. I started out in business, thinking it was the most versatile choice. In fact, I once told myself, “I don’t want to do anything too technical,” which is pretty funny now. I earned a diploma in International Business from Ngee Ann Polytechnic and a Bachelor’s in Commerce from the University of Auckland.

For a few years, I worked in sales, presales, and marketing. It was fun at first, but I started feeling restless. I wanted to create, not just sell. Then, in late 2021, I discovered crypto, and everything changed. The space was fast-moving, innovative, and full of possibilities. I knew I had to be part of it.

That led me to take a leap and enroll in the Graduate Diploma in Systems Analysis at NUS. It landed me a job in crypto where I worked with smart contracts and built dApps.

But the deeper I got, the more I realized how vulnerable the space was. Hacks were everywhere, and it became clear that building cool products wasn’t enough. They had to be secure. That’s what sparked my interest in smart contract auditing and, eventually, cybersecurity as a whole.

Now, I’m especially fascinated by AI’s role in security, both as a tool for defense and as a weapon for attackers. AI-powered malware is still in its early days, but it’s evolving fast, with the potential to adapt, learn, and optimize attacks in real time. It’s a huge challenge, but also an opportunity to make an impact in the future of digital security.

I'm always keen to chat about Web3 security, smart contracts, and AI-driven threats. If you're interested in discussing ideas or collaborating, feel free to reach out!
